Maruti Amt Cars

The transmission of power from the engine to the wheels is done through a gear box in a vehicle. In normal cars with automatic transmission the shifting of the gear is done by a torque convertor as the car changes the speed. In the manual transmission the driver has to shift the gear after applying the clutch. In Automatic Manual Transmission popularly known as the AMT technology the driver can select the gear as per the requirements. The application of the clutch and the shifting of the gear are done automatically through electronic controls. This way the driver has some control on the fuel consumption.
